The Food District, nestled in Square One Shopping Centre, is a culinary oasis that promises a delightful escape from typical mall dining. As I stepped into this stylish enclave, I was immediately struck by its charming design, reminiscent of European markets, creating an inviting atmosphere for food enthusiasts.
What sets The Food District apart is its impressive variety of vendors, each offering unique and delicious options. From Dal Moro's gourmet pasta and Pier 87's fresh seafood to the heavenly treats at Danish Pastry House, there is truly something for every palate. Many vendors even provide delectable samples, inviting you to explore their culinary creations.
Having indulged in the savory hummus and delightful desserts, I found the quality and freshness of ingredients to be top-notch. The slight premium on pricing is justifiable given the extraordinary experience and rich flavors offered. Plus, with options for vegan diets and interactive cooking classes available, it caters to all food lovers.
In sum, The Food District is more than just a food court; it's a vibrant celebration of taste and creativity. I can't wait to return and uncover more of its delectable treasures!

The ultimate destination for any foodies. The Food District is a good escape from the mall and into a world of great eats. Not only is this new "food court" beautifully designed, but it looks so different from the rest of the mall that it's like you stepped into a new place. TFD reminds me a lot of the markets in Europe. The design is simple, yet quite beautiful. There are lots of options to choose from and restaurants cater to all tastes. My favorites include Dal Moro's Pasta, Pier 87 (for seafood), Danish Pastry House (the bread is great and they always have samples), Plancha (super cute place), to name a few. They cater to all needs. Need desserts? They've got it. Looking for something light? There, you'll find it. Craving for a meal? You got it. Want to learn some new skills? They have classes for that! I also like that there's vegan options. Prices at the different vendors are a bit on the higher end, but it's totally worth it if you're looking for a treat once in a while or if you're looking for quality, freshness and no disappointments. Classes offered here are great too. I attended a few and always had a great time.

Wow, wow wow was the perfect place to eat! You can pick from lots of choices and every little shop was unique. So much creativity in every detail. Finally found a unique place in Canada to eat good. There was live music a great atmosphere. We had hummus (you can see in the pictures) it was very good. If you are at the mall please come and visit The Food District too!

The SquareOne Food District has all sorts of neat food, snacks, desserts all in one place. It's way more high end than a regular mall food court, cuz of the vareity of shops that's included in the Food District. Many of the shops inside offer bite size samples to try, like Hattendo, Uncle Tetsu Cheese cake pop-up. Awesome place to stop by in the mall and to grab some snacks

It was a most satisfying experience. My daughter took me there as she knew I’d love it being a food blogger. Here you can find at top restaurants, indulge in the finest coffees and get the best pasta and Indian food too. A must when you are in Toronto. Do see my reel on this place on my Instagram page given in bio.

Initially, upon hearing about Square One, I had assumed it to be a modest, unassuming mall. However, to my surprise, Food District Mississauga shattered my preconceptions. The sheer scale and variety of dining options within Square One left me in awe. It was a revelation; how had I, inadvertently, overlooked this culinary gem? I was about to correct that mistake with my second stay. Nowadays, at places like Square One, the dynamics have shifted dramatically. Food has taken center stage, becoming a focal point of the mall experience, while shopping plays a supporting role. Despite the encroachment of online giants like Amazon, who have claimed a significant share of retail profits, the charm of dining out remains unconquered. Jeff Bezos may have revolutionized online shopping, but the allure of a sit-down restaurant experience eludes him. This shift in focus has become a survival strategy for malls, with many emulating malls such as the Square One model to stay relevant and attract patrons. It’s a testament to the enduring appeal of in-person experiences and the adaptability of traditional retail spaces in the face of digital disruption. I couldn’t help but marvel at the gastronomic delights housed within the Food District. It’s a wonder I hadn’t stumbled upon this culinary haven sooner. The Food District is like a busy hub of delicious food, capturing the lively atmosphere of a bustling market. It brings together different types of food places, like cozy bakeries, fresh seafood spots, energetic juice bars, and lots of diverse restaurants. With more than 25 talented cooks, shop owners, and chefs, there are a ton of tasty choices to try. If you are to believe the signage, there are over 100 restaurants in the area. Believe me, I did not have the time to count. I will take their word for it. Below are a few restaurants that caught my eye. Jollibee is a renowned Filipino fried chicken franchise famous for its overflowing buckets of Jolly Crispy Chicken and Jolly Spaghetti. Fuwa Fuwa offers made-to-order Japanese souffle pancakes known for their delightful fluffiness. La Carnita features classics like In Cod We Trust, a crunchy cod taco, and a grilled steak taco with chipotle mayo, tomatillo salsa, crispy shallots, and vibrant cocktails and beer. Patties Express provides fluffy coco bread stuffed with delicious fillings, creating a satisfying carb-on-carb delight. Roywoods offers a jerk chicken sandwich, a hearty combination of spice-marinated chicken, coleslaw, onions, spicy mayo, and tomato, perfectly paired with a refreshing Caribbean soda. Moxie’s Grill & Bar, savor the Chipotle Mango Chicken or Lemon Basil Salmon for your main course, followed by the delightful White Chocolate Brownie for dessert. Sansotei Ramen serves authentic flavors from diverse Japanese regions, including the hearty Tonkotsu Black Ramen and the refreshing Yuzu White Ramen. Jimmy the Greek is a fast-service restaurant specializing in gyro wraps, souvlaki, and Greek salad, providing a Mediterranean culinary experience. Crepe Delicious offers fresh, premium sweet and savory crepes and handcrafted gelato. Whether you’re craving a leisurely dining experience or need to grab a quick bite while on the move, The Food District has everything you need. It’s a culinary paradise offering diverse delectable treats, ranging from heavenly pastries to succulent seafood and revitalizing juices. Whatever your taste buds desire, you’re sure to find it here. Each week, it provides an assortment of rotating food pop-ups, ensuring there’s always something new and exciting to discover. -mtlrestorap.com
